Dior x Swarovski: The Creation of Crystal AB Stones

Over sixty years have passed since Christian Dior teamed up with Swarovski to create a new generation of stones, a new generation of fashion for women.  Their partnership yielded crystal AB, named after the shimmering Aurora Borealis.  Dior took inspiration from nature and the crystal AB’s sparkling iridescence shone like the Northern Lights.  The stone’s ability to turn a ray of sunlight into a myriad of colors has made its application timeless, popping up in our jewelry here at Loren Hope whenever we feel a piece needs that certain sparkle, that certain flair that only nature can conjure up.

Every artist struggles with their craft, but Dior was onto something when he said, “You can never really go wrong if you take nature as example”.  During the challenging process of designing a new line, I tend to find that the world around me lends me the most inspiration and the best advice.  The open night sky and the shimmer of the Atlantic near our home have all worked their way into the jewelry in one way or another.  The new line is meant to be an ode to that feeling, the joy that comes with the change of season, when everything seems to become a little brighter.  Summer days are right around the corner, and we can’t wait to see you shine.
