LOREN HOPE DESIGNS LLC is hiring a full-time Designer.Job Duties:* Collaborate with the Creative Director and Senior Designer to understand design requirements and develop new jewelry product concepts consistent with brand vision, assortment plans, and target price points.
* Research global fashion and jewelry trends, including materials, colors, stone cuts, and vintage influences, and translate research findings into design concepts, inspiration boards, and material charts.
* Prepare detailed jewelry designs and assess prototypes for assigned collections, including selection of stones, materials, and construction methods.
* Conduct product evaluation based on cost estimate, budget, specifications, manufacturing methods and procedures, production limitations, etc.
* Coordinate with sourcing, specification teams, and external vendors to develop samples, communicate design intent, and ensure accurate execution of approved designs.
* Review and quality-check jewelry samples to provide technical guidance for sample makers and lead the sample revision process through final approval for production.
* Participate in design and product review meetings, contributing to design presentations and ongoing product development initiatives.
* Telecommuting is an option
Rate of pay: $60,091 to $61,000 per year
Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, Fine Arts, or related Field. Must have knowledge of CAD, Metal and Jewelry Design.

Our headquarters are located in Newport, RI and will require five days per week in-office capacity.
Responsibilities:
Partners with stones and purchasing departments to request ordering of materials for designs
Understanding of stone cuts / sizes / shapes / colors (can/will train)
Knowledge of vendors for components
Assists designer with the creation / revision process of samples
Supports designer in execution of design projects from approved
Stone setting support
Support Senior Designer in completing and creating design samples, multiple samples may be required
Assist with design visuals to track project flow (proficient knowledge in PowerPoint or Google Slides)
Contribute to meeting prep for all design presentations
Attend Product / Design Review meetings
Maintain email & organizational correspondence
Manage and adhere to the design calendar
Manage & organize samples & componentry
Supports the team keeping the workspace physically organized
Qualifications:
Highly organized and self-motivated
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in Photoshop is a bonus, but not required
Proficiency with computer usage for visuals/ organization of project flow
Knowledge of jewelry construction is preferred, but not required
Must be a team player, have ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and take initiative.
Works well in a collaborative team environment and can take direction/feedback with utmost professionalism.
Ability to work under pressure in an environment of constant shifting priorities and change.
Must be detail-oriented, willing to learn and flexible!

Estimated salary range: Commensurate with experience
