New Orleans Music

Musicians playing in doorways and amidst bustling district squares. Colorful doors, walls, and windows.  Rainbow beads draped from trees.  “Love” signs posted on street corners.  Horse and buggy carriages strolling down the streets filled with new city visitors.

We had the pleasure of shooting our upcoming Fall Winter Look Book in New Orleans. The days were long and hot, but don’t think we didn’t squeeze in as much as we could during our precious free time in this incredible city. With its vibrant sights, sounds, and smells, everywhere you turn in New Orleans, there is a strong current that exudes history, art, and culture.  When we asked our cab driver why he loved the city, he summed it up simply saying, “It is fun!”

Must do’s when you visit:

-Eat at Coquette Restaurant:  Authentic food with big flavor.  Go for brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert.  Brunch menu recommendations: shrimp & grits, eggs benedict (to die for), and chocolate pot de crème.

-Have your fortune read:  Palm, Tarot, or Tea readings at Reverend Zombie’s House of Voodoo.  Pick up a set of candles, beads, or spirit spices to ward off any bad juju.

-Grab a coffee and bag of fresh beignets at Cafe du Monde

-Stroll the streets of the French Quarter and ogle all of the amazing doors and windows.

NOLA. Never a dull moment.  Always something to see.  Endless inspiration.
