It all starts at a historic mill in Rhode Island
with raw materials and endless ideas. Stone by stone,
link by link, it becomes the story of a girl,
her adventures, and the jewelry that transforms her.

Like all passion projects, Loren Hope has humble beginnings—as a hobby for a military wife abroad. Founded in 2005 by artist Loren Barham, Loren Hope offers seasonal collections of timeless jewelry inspired by her lifelong passion for art, history and travel. Our products made exclusively in the United States, and are often recognized by their rich, saturated colors in designs that channel a
modern-meets-vintage sensibility.

"Jewelry design has always found a way into my life. One of my fondest memories as a little girl is playing in my grandmother's thrift shop. She would let me plunder around for hours and I would take apart all sorts of old jewelry and reassemble the baubles into new combinations. I am also a huge fan of vintage jewelry. I have always been intrigued with antiques and relics from our past – the colors, craftsmanship, quality and attention to detail in vintage jewelry are constant inspirations for me."

Local Partnerships Are The Cornerstone
of Our Business.

The family-owned businesses in our community have worked in the jewelry industry for decades. Their hands-on knowledge is irreplaceable, and adds a unique touch to each of our pieces. Sadly, their livelihood is challenged by recent increases in outsourcing and second-rate imports. Few factories have survived, but those that do inspire us to invest in the American jewelry industry however we can, starting with making everything in our own backyard. We are 100% dedicated to keeping our products made in America, but in a way that doesn’t cost the consumer. By trimming the bottom line, we are able to offer luxury-level costume jewelry at an affordable price.

Our Heart Is In
Rhode Island.

We love our jewelry but at the end of the day, we love the community and its history equally. When it comes to American jewelry, Rhode Island started it all. For almost a century, Providence was considered "the jewelry capital of the world.” But while American-made jewelry was once the industry standard, these days, you really have to know where to look. Most of the beautiful old brick mills that were once jewelry or textile factories stand abandoned—ghosts of our state’s past. Thousands of jobs have been lost. Invaluable working knowledge of tools, materials and artistry are forgotten. We want to change this by sharing Rhode Island’s story through our products. That’s why every piece of Loren Hope jewelry is made right here with our own hands.

The Effort IS Collective.
The Attention To
Detail Is Singular.

We are all about the details. Our small team touches every piece of jewelry that we create. We meticulously solder metal, polish gems and hand-set each stone. Every item is carefully inspected before it lands in your hands, and our quality is guaranteed.
